How do I combine ALMA data from different cycles, manually and pipeline-calibrated data, and data calibrated with different versions of CASA?

To accurately combine ALMA data requires that the visibility weights for each set of data be calculated in the same manner.  Unfortunately, the method used by CASA to calculate weights has evolved with time.  Depending on the circumstances, combination of data may be more or less complicated.  The Data Weights and Combination CASA Guide includes a full description of CASA weight calculations and explains how different weighting schemes can be reconciled for combination.
