This Knowledgebase article is a repository for information relevant to submission of Cycle-7 proposals. These items may affect how users write their proposals or set up their observations in the OT. OT Issues and Updates

• OT Known Issues for Cycle 7
• Java issues: from testing it appears as if the OT will only work using Java 8. This remains the default and recommended version by Oracle and is downloadable from www.java.com. As Oracle have moved to a six-monthly release cycle, it is possible that users will have Java 9 or higher installed on their system. As we do not think that the OT will work with these versions we strongly recommend that Java 8 be installed instead. More information can be found in the OT Troubleshooting pages.
