Which modes are classified as "non-standard" in Cycle 3?

Authors list

Non-standard modes are observing modes that are less well characterized or for which the data need to be processed manually by ALMA staff. Up to 25% of the total Cycle 3 observing time will be assigned to such projects.   Non-standard modes are supported in Cycle 3 on a "best-efforts" basis only.    Non-standard modes are:

  • Bands 8, 9 & 10 observations

  • Long baselines (> 2km)

  • Polarization

  • Spectral Scans

  • Spectral setups with only narrow band spectral windows (aggregate bandwidth < 934 MHz)

  • Non-standard calibrations (user-defined calibrations selected in the OT)
